a centre of reference
and studies on the work
of jean arp and sophie taeuber
Endowed with an exceptional archival collection
and a rich library, the fondation arp is a centre
of reference and studies, open to scientific
and educational research.
The archival collection bequeathed by Marguerite Arp
at the time of its creation (correspondence, biographical photographs and works) has been supplemented
over the years by two important donations :
the archives of François Arp, brother and collaborator
of Jean Arp,
the Greta Stroeh archives, assistant to Marguerite Arp
and director of the Foundation in the 1990s.
The Foundation’s library, devoted to modern art
in general and more specificly to the work
of Sophie Taeuber and Jean Arp, includes the books
that belonged to the two artists. The library is regularly enriched by the acquisition of the latest scientific publications.
Various donations are regularly added to these archives, including those of Claude Gubler, Marc Dachy, Ava Stroeh and Antoine Poncet.
Access to the study centre is granted to researchers
by reservation. They should send an application
with a brief presentation of their research project to : general@fondationarp.org
